In 2006, crews broke ground for Phase I of a huge Ellington Field facilities expansion—a 173,000-square-foot Armed Forces Reserve Center. Phase II included the opening of a welcome center, storage structures, an entry control point, vehicle maintenance facilities, a second Armed Forces Reserve Center, and a 40,000-square-foot Battle Command Training Center. Joslin installed over 24,000 linear feet of water, sanitary, and storm sewer to serve this new center at Ellington Field.
